The Body Shop has announced two changes to its executive leadership team, as it continues to focus on its post pandemic growth.

Linda Campbell, one of the company’s experienced retail leaders, has been appointed to the newly created role of Global Retail Director.

Emphasised by the brand, Campbell has previously led one of The Body Shop’s biggest global markets in the last 5 years. During this time she was responsible for 3000 people, operating three channels with over 240 retail stores, circa 50,000 Body Shop At Home consultants and the UK ecommerce division.

As Global Retail Director, Campbell hopes to accelerate The Body Shop’s transformation into an omnichannel business with a focus on the retail experience.

To replace Campbell as Managing Director for the UK and Ireland, The Body Shop will welcome Maddie Smith.

With over 25 years experience in beauty retail, Smith joins The Body Shop from Estée Lauder Companies, where she held the role of Vice President of Retail for North America.

David Boynton, CEO at The Body Shop, said: “In strengthening our leadership team, by nurturing our existing talent and welcoming new world class expertise, we continue to demonstrate our commitment to investing in our people whilst building on our strengths as a world leader in providing a truly memorable omnichannel experience.

“These exciting roles will ensure we carry on growing our company in a post pandemic world and enable our retail channels to remain a place where customers can enjoy a unique experience, with excellent customer service, not only in the UK and Ireland but across the world.”
