The Fragrance Shop reveals record Christmas sales as it continues expansion plans
The Fragrance Shop is celebrating record Christmas sales, credited to the success of new launches and continued investment in its digital platform and store estate.
The British retailer saw sales rise 6.5% in the thirteen weeks ending 30 December 2023, compared to the same period the previous year.
Growth was attributed to the success of popular new fragrance launches, including Myslf by Saint Laurent, Paradoxe Intense by Prada, and Le Male Elixir and Divine by Jean Paul Gautier.
Continued investments in the retailer’s digital platform and store estate also increased its total nationwide locations to 221.
In November, The Fragrance Shop opened its new experiential flagship on London’s Oxford Street, and introduced a new AI-guided scent creation platform in the new store.
The retailer's subscription program also experienced a "remarkable" increase in memberships during the year, with close to one million members at the end of December 2023.
Sanjay Vadera MBE, Owner and CEO of The Fragrance Shop, said: "Despite the cost-of-living crisis and pressure on disposable incomes, we have delivered another exceptional peak trading period.
"Our subscription loyalty scheme continues to thrive, and we remain committed to innovation and enhancing the consumer experience.
"We will continue in our investments to expand both digitally and physically across the UK, ensuring our customers enjoy the premium shopping environment they demand."
