The Industry meets Pearl Lowe at W London – Leicester Square, 29 November 2017

The Industry is proud to announce the first in a series of knowledge sharing and networking events to be staged in collaboration with W London - Leicester Square. On Wednesday 29 November leading luxury fashion consultant Frances Card will be in conversation with fashion and textiles designer Pearl Lowe.

This exclusive event takes place in the recently refurbished W London – Leicester Square's Screening Room and is aimed at fashion industry professionals and entrepreneurs. Pearl will discuss her career to date, which began as a singer/songwriter and which has seen her move into the fields of fashion and interior design, as well as her plans for the future and her impressions of the wider fashion industry.

Pearl is a creative force who first discovered her love of interior design while still living in London in the mid '00s, however a move to a rambling house in the country in 2006 truly ignited her passion and she established her own business. Her love of vintage fashion then led her to create a collection for high street retailer Peacocks, which sold out within 24 hours, and firmly put her on the design map.

She went on to publish a number of books including her memoir All that Glitters in 2007 and Pearl Lowe’s Vintage Craft in 2013 and has also contributed to her daughter, the model Daisy Lowe's, recent cook book. Pearl is also a seasoned media commentator and has contributed to a number of TV programmes, design columns and blogs and has appeared as a mentor on Britain's Next Top Model and Channel 4's Four Rooms.

2017 has marked a return to fashion for Pearl who launched a collection of bespoke made-to-order dresses through her website, which are all hand-made close to her Somerset home using fabrics sourced in the UK. The launch of the womenswear line followed on from the Petite Pearl Lowe luxury dress up collection of vintage-inspired costumes for children. The website also sells the Pearl Lowe Lifestyle collection of signature lace curtain panels, sequinned curtains and scented candles.
