The Interview: Celebrity manicurist Harriet Westmoreland on launching her game changing nail line
If you’re a beauty lover who has been scrolling social media this weekend, the chances are, Harriet Westmoreland has already popped up in your feed as she launched her highly anticipated nail line - Westmoreland Cosmetics.
After years of creating manicures for high-profile clients, including Adele and Christine Lampard, Westmoreland has taken her expertise behind the chair and turned it into a line of products anyone can use.
The first collection, available now, features Glass Gels and Glass Polishes designed for both at-home and in-salon use. The hero, however, is the first-of-its-kind gel formula, which she describes as something completely new to the market. Infills? Tick. Removal and redo? Tick. Re-levelling? Tick. Glossy? Tick, tick, tick.
Though this is a new project, Westmoreland’s passion for nails began in her teens with weekly rituals of at-home manicures alongside her granny. "We would always use the same colour, Milky white, and this sort of really became a ritual for us. It was such a special thing that I've just carried that through my life and sort of really fallen in love with manicures," she says. That early love of ritual translated seamlessly into a career creating manicures for some of the most high-profile women in music, fashion and business.
"When you're having a manicure, you're not on your phone; there are no distractions. In that environment, you can build relationships with people - that's definitely shaped how I've got to where I have", the mistress of manicures adds.

The move to create her own brand had always been on her radar, but the defining moment came when she met her business partner, Olivia Corish. "We were so aligned on the vision and we've made such a great team that it was just right. It was the right time," Westmoreland says. Corish brings complementary expertise and operational insight, helping transform Harriet’s creative vision into a fully fledged business.
Despite being a pro, Westmoreland's first launch, Vanilla Gloss, is designed with versatility and accessibility in mind. The Glass gels (£25 per bottle) offer subtle structure with a glassy high-shine finish. They're available in five translucent tones that flatter all nail shades, suitable on natural nails or with tips. Plus, they promise a four-plus week wear time.

Complementing the gel collection, the Five Single Glass Polishes (£15 per bottle) are perfect for do-it-yourselfers or matching pedicures. Both product ranges are available for trade and personal use at westmorelandcosmetics.com.
But this is just the start. Seasonal collections will follow. "Upcoming collections will reflect the seasons and what everyone will want to wear in that season. Like fashion spring summer and autumn winter collections, the shades will evolve, which we are really excited about. Expect another collection coming later this AW25," she says.
The launch has already been met with enthusiasm online. "The response to us sharing the product online has just been unbelievable. I could not have wished for anything more," Westmoreland says.
Looking ahead, the plan is ambitious: seasonal collections, pop-ups and collaborations - all designed to bring the Westmoreland experience to life in person. "We’ll be doing all of these things. Seasonal collections are planned throughout the year, with 4 to 6 collections each year. We've got collaborations and we'll definitely be doing pop-ups. We're so excited to be working on these and share with everyone in person, and invite them to the Westmoreland Cosmetics world," she explains.
"Olivia and I are so excited about the launch of Westmoreland Cosmetics and are excited to see how it grows! In five years, I hope we will be Global and available in major beauty retailers," she concludes.
Vanilla Gloss is just the beginning, offering professional-level formulas that anyone can use at home, and signalling the start of what Westmoreland hopes will be a long, shiny, and ambitious journey.
