The Perfume Shop achieves 'strong' Mother's Day sales as it reveals bestselling perfumes
The Perfume Shop is celebrating a successful Mother's Day, with 280,916 bottles sold during 9-30 March, highlighting the popularity of perfume as a gifting option.
The British fragrance retailer delivered a 30% increase in retail sales across classic perfumes, alongside a 3% rise in new and trending perfumes and a 2% uplift in gift sets.
Promotional deals also proved popular, with The Perfume Shop reporting its busiest day online as Tuesday 25 March, reflecting a 69% increase in purchases compared to last year.
In addition, the week leading up to Mother’s Day saw a 56% rise in sales, with 35% of all orders using next day delivery.
The high street chain's personalisation services were also in high demand, delivering more than 43,688 ribbons and 1,091 engraved fragrances in the three weeks until Mother’s Day.
