British fragrance brand The Perfume Shop has announced a new price freeze initiative, ensuring prices will not be increased on 138 best-selling fragrances until 2024.

First launched in October 2022, the retailer is now extending the programme due to the continued economic crisis, holding prices on the fragrances it expects to be best sellers this year.

In October, the first prize freeze covered 17 products, with 74 priced at £25 or under, and 16 priced at £10 or under. The price freeze covered 39 different designer brands including Burberry, Givenchy, Ralph Lauren, and Calvin Klein.

The 4.5 million members of The Perfume Shop’s VIP Rewards Club scheme will receive an additional 10% off all price freeze scents.

Gill Smith, Managing Director of The Perfume Shop, commented: “We launched our price freeze commitment last October and by extending it to include even more top brands until 2024 we hope that our customers can treat friends, family or themselves, with the knowledge that our prices won’t change.

“We know our customers will be looking to purchase perfumes in the lead-up to Mother’s Day and Father’s Day and so we’ve made sure we have lots of options to choose from across different price points.”

This follows the news that The Perfume Shop reported record Christmas sales, despite both postal strikes and severe weather across the festive period. The retailer sold a record 1.77 million bottles of fragrance between 28 November and 24 December 2022.
