The Perfume Shop anticipates record sales as it reveals top fragrance predictions for Father's Day
The Perfume Shop expects to deliver record sales this Father's Day as it predicts the most popular fragrances purchased for the occasion, which will this year take place on Sunday 16 June.
It comes after the British fragrance retailer sold a record 224,000 bottles in the two weeks leading up to Father’s Day last year.
Not only that, but The Perfume Shop saw sales up 9.1% during the month leading up to Father’s Day in 2023 against 2022, and online sales of gift sets saw a 38% increase in the final full week.
When it comes to the most popular scents, The Perfume Shop predicts that familiar favourites from brands such as Rabanne, Hugo Boss and Dior will boost sales this Father's Day.
However, there are also some newer scents that have made it onto the retailer's list, including Yves Saint Laurent's MYSLF Eau de Parfum and Prada's Luna Rossa Ocean Eau de Parfum.
The top 10 predicted best-selling scents are:
- Jean Paul Gaultier Le Beau Paradise Garden Eau de Parfum.
- Dior Sauvage Elixir Extrait de Parfum.
- Rabanne 1 Million Eau de Toilette.
- Blue de Chanel Eau de Parfum.
- Yves Saint Laurent MYSLF Eau de Parfum Refillable.
- Hugo Boss, Boss Bottled Triumph Elixir Eau de Parfum.
- Armani Code Parfum Refillable.
- Montblanc Explorer Eau de Parfum.
- Prada Luna Rossa Ocean Eau de Parfum.
- Givenchy Gentleman Society Extreme Eau de Parfum.
Andrea Rickard, Trading Director at The Perfume Shop, said: "We are so pleased to see that some of the classic fragrances such as Rabanne 1 Million and newer fragrances such as Hugo Boss BOSS Bottled Triumph Elixir are predicted to be the most popular with our customers for Father’s Day in the UK.
"Not only this, but The Perfume Shop has some amazing deals over this period where customers can really pick out the perfect gift. The Perfume Shop knows how to make sure your loved ones feel special for all occasions, which is why we offer both online and in-store our additional services such as gift wrapping, personalised ribbons and even personalised engraving services."
The news follows "strong" Mother's Day sales for The Perfume Shop earlier this year. The retailer reported an increase in sales after shoppers splashed out on gifts sets. This equated to approximately 140,000 bottles sold during 3-10 March 2024.
