The Perfume Shop is celebrating a decade in partnership with the dementia research charity, Alzheimer’s Research UK, raising £1.6 million to date.

Since 2014, The Perfume Shop’s staff from across UK stores have dedicated themselves to raising funds for dementia research. Activities have included in-store collections, personalised ribbon sales, running challenges, fashion shows, and more.

The support over the last decade has funded ten research projects, helping Alzheimer’s Research UK’s scientists grow their understanding of dementia and the diseases that cause it.

Gill Smith, Managing Director at The Perfume Shop, said: "I am incredibly proud of our longstanding partnership with Alzheimer’s Research UK, which has allowed us to raise over £1.6 million in the past decade. Our dedicated TPS People have shown unwavering commitment to raise awareness & fundraise for dementia research, and I am truly inspired by their efforts.

"Together, we have funded ten vital research projects and supported the charity’s InfoLine, making a meaningful impact in the fight against dementia. I look forward to continuing our partnership and making even greater strides in the years to come."

Hilary Evans-Newton, Chief Executive at Alzheimer’s Research UK, added: "We are delighted to be celebrating ten incredible years in partnership with The Perfume Shop. Since our journey began in 2014, The Perfume Shop has demonstrated extraordinary commitment to support our search for a cure. Going above and beyond across the whole company, TPS People have shown huge dedication in their fundraising, and we’ve enjoyed every minute of working together.

"On behalf of Alzheimer’s Research UK, I’d like to say a big thank you to The Perfume Shop for your valued friendship and spending the last decade in partnership with us. Your dedication to our cause will help us end the heartbreak of dementia. We can’t wait to see where the future takes us."

The Perfume Shop isn’t the only beauty retailer giving back. Benefit has been a partner of Look Good Feel Better since 2015, supported by its annual Bold is Beautiful philanthropy programme, providing resources, volunteers, and visibility for the charity’s work.

In 2024, it has delivered significant financial support as well as pledged thousands of products for 2025 and volunteered for workshops, including those for teens and young adults.

In fact, Look Good Feel Better recently announced that Benefit UK's General Manager Sarah Harbon would join its Board of Trustees.
