The Perfume Shop sales rise as it reveals Valentine's Day bestsellers

The Perfume Shop is celebrating a successful Valentine's Day, with over 240,000 bottles sold during the first two weeks of February, highlighting the popularity of perfume as a gifting option.

The British fragrance retailer delivered a 34% increase in retail sales across both classic and new perfumes, as well as a 50% increase in gift set retail sales compared to last year.

Last minute shopping proved popular, with the website's busiest day on 12 February seeing a 7% rise in perfume purchases, as customers made the most of half price next delivery with guaranteed delivery before Valentine’s Day.

The high street chain's personalisation services were also in high demand over the two weeks, delivering more than 39,655 ribbons and 983 engraved fragrances, up 2% against 2024.

The bestselling scents of Valentine’s Day for ladies were:

  2. Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium
  3. Prada Paradoxe
  4. Euphoria
  5. Pascal Morabito

The bestselling scents of Valentine’s Day for men were:

  • Dior Sauvage
  • Hugo Boss Night
  • Bleu De Chanel
  • Burberry Touch For Men
  • Joop! Homme
