The Perfume Shop taps wellness trend with experiential ‘Scent Sanctuary’ pop-up
In celebration of National Fragrance Week, The Perfume Shop invites guests to a sensorial pop-up experience, designed to explore the intersection of fragrance and wellness.
The Scent Sanctuary will take place at Noho Showrooms in London, welcoming customers and VIP members of the retailer's rewards programme on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 March.
Blending perfume discovery with wellness practices, the pop-up offers 30-minute guided scent sessions led by expert breathwork practitioner Kerry Flower, incorporating meditation, gentle yoga and guided affirmation writing.
The sessions will explore the connection between scent and mood, with each element thoughtfully designed to help guests reset, rebalance and reconnect.
It comes as wellness continues to shape the beauty industry, with perfume evolving from a luxury item into a mood-enhancing, functional product.
From stress relief to mental clarity, consumers increasingly seek products that support emotional wellbeing, and perfume is playing a growing role in these daily rituals.
The Perfume Shop is embracing this trend by creating spaces where "fragrance becomes part of a broader self-care practice".
Throughout the experience, guests will explore perfumes from Prada, Yves Saint Laurent and Lancôme, all available at The Perfume Shop.
Gill Smith, Managing Director at The Perfume Shop, said: "Perfume has always been deeply personal, but we’re seeing it take on an even more meaningful role in our customers’ lives. As wellness continues to influence purchasing behaviours, perfume is no longer viewed as a final finishing touch, it’s part of a daily ritual that supports mood, confidence and emotional wellbeing.
"With The Perfume Shop’s Scent Sanctuary, we wanted to create a space where our customers could pause, breathe and experience perfume in a more mindful, restorative way."
Karen Harris, Customer Director at The Perfume Shop, added: "Our customers are increasingly seeking experiences that feel purposeful and immersive.
"The Scent Sanctuary brings together guided scent discovery and holistic self-care, allowing our VIP members and customers to explore perfume in a way that feels both inspiring and grounding."
All ticket proceeds will be donated to The Perfume Shop’s charity partners, Alzheimer’s Research UK and Look Good Feel Better.
