The Rolling Stones enter world of fragrance with five ‘Subversive Scents’
The Rolling Stones have put their name to a new range of five unisex fragrances called ‘Subversive Scents’, which take their names from an iconic Stones’ song, a ground-breaking album or a major tour.
Bravado, Universal Music Group’s merchandising and brand management division, has partnered with master perfumers Nirvana Brands to launch the line of premium, genderless fragrances under the Rolling Stones’ RS No.9 fashion and lifestyle label.
Developed using cutting-edge Headspace fragrance technology, the collection features five scents: Wild Horses, Sticky Fingers, Satisfaction, Urban Jungle, and Paint It Black.
Developed over two and a half years, with a commitment to authenticity and quality, the price is £99 per 100ml fragrance and each one has its own unique olfactive notes "for those who dare to be different".
The scent bottle design features an innovative turn-and-spray cap mechanism and the unmistakable Stones’ tongue and lips logo, originally created by John Pasche in 1970.
David Boyne, Managing Director at Bravado, said: "Creating this fragrance collection in partnership with Nirvana Brands has been such an exciting project for us and marks a new chapter in the ever-evolving storytelling of the RS No.9 brand.
"We are thrilled to offer fans the chance to further connect with and deepen their love for The Rolling Stones through these captivating scents."
Ken Rushton of Nirvana Brands, who has steered the project through conceptualisation and development, added: “The Rolling Stones are ubiquitous in popular culture, and their influence on personal style is all around us, so this project working with the band and their team has been a delight.
"Bottling the essence of The Rolling Stones in a unique and bold fine fragrance collection has been an incredible journey - and there is a whole lot more in the pipeline."
The collection is now available to purchase at the Rolling Stones' flagship store, RS No.9 Carnaby at 9 Carnaby Street in London, and online via a newly launched website: subversivescents.co.uk.
