The Stack World is gearing up for the launch of a new app to help foster even stronger connections between its growing membership of female beauty and wellness entrepreneurs.

An evolution of the innovative beauty bookings solution The Beauty Stack (which allows beauty professionals to post bookable images of their work) the new Stack World app will connect its members on a whole new digital level - moving them from a community into a network that provided “all the necessary knowledge and insights for economic and social empowerment,” founder Sharmadean Reid said.

Launched in response to the pandemic which “changed the needs” of The Beauty Stack community, The Stack World connects its professional female member-base with an array of information, advice and mentoring opportunities based around five key pillars of Beauty, Wellness, Business Culture and Society.

The Stack World also offers its members access to a range of virtual events centred around improving their businesses, as-well-as politics and culture.

Commenting on the development, Reid, who also founded WAH Nails in 2009, told TheIndustry.fashion: “Beauty Stack began as a technology company designed to help young women start their own beauty businesses using many of the techniques, such as use of social media that I used, when establishing WAH.”

“However, with the pandemic having stopped beauty businesses from operating in the last year, we launched The Stack World to help support our audience in a much wider way and give our mission-driven female community the motivation and knowledge to grow.”

"The app will really help to take that work even further, taking it beyond community and into a true network, helping to connect mentors with mentees and provide women with the insights and tools they need for economic and social empowerment."

Reid will be discussing the importance of attracting talent and keeping employees happy at Vodafone’s #ThoseWhoDare virtual conference on 21 May 2021.

As part of its ambition to support SMEs, the week-long event will feature keynotes from over 30 dynamic entrepreneurs.
