London-based, female-founded communications business The Tape Agency is launching 'The Tape Dispenser', a "first-of-its-kind" creator platform for the nano-creator community.

The Tape Dispenser will offer nano-creators a new subscriber platform to educate, inform and share insight on the creator journey and support them advocating for themselves.

The Tape Agency

It will allow content creators to connect with others, whilst gaining key skills to "counteract how confusing and challenging being a nano-creator can sometimes be, especially at the beginning".

Founded by Mary Kate Trevaskis and Camilla Trindle in 2016, The Tape Agency offers public relations, talent management, podcast production, events management, social media management, talent brokering. and communications services.

Its new platform will attempt to "utilise the knowledge and expertise built by the agency and dispense it to the community of nano-creators" through a community subscriber platform.

As part of this, nano-creators can expect the following:

  • Tutorials and videos on a number of topics.
  • Webinars and live-panel event recordings so creators never miss out on the important information.
  • Informative resources for content creation.
  • An encouraging and lively community to network with.
  • In-person open days and informative events that creators can attend with The Tape Agency team, on hand to guide them and introduce creators to the right contacts.

"We want The Tape Dispenser to be where creators come to make some friends, ask some questions and learn how to advocate for themselves," said Mary Kate Trevaskis.

For nano-creators looking to sign up, there is no minimum requirement for follower count – creators can have two, ten, or 1,000 followers - and the subscription fee is £10 per month.

The Tape Agency defines 'nano -creator' as under 10,000 followers on any social media platform. However, each applicant will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis to ensure that the dispenser can give creators what they need.

It added that there will also be opportunity for brands and retailers to work with the network of creators in the future.
