The Body Shop is a British cosmetics, skincare and perfume company. Founded in 1976 by Dame Anita Roddick, the company offers a range of over 1,000 products from stores owned by the company and franchised outlets in more than 65 countries.
In February 2024, The Body Shop's UK operations collapsed into administration, putting thousands of jobs at risk as it looks to restructure the business. Administrators said it would "consider all options to find a way forward for the business" after years of financial struggles and amid a challenging backdrop for shoppers.
In September 2024, The Body Shop was rescued from administration by a consortium led by British tycoon Mike Jatania, with remaining stores continuing to trade.
