TheIndustry.beauty Innovators Awards 2026 celebrated the people, products and businesses driving the beauty industry forward - recognising not only groundbreaking innovations, but also the diverse range of expertise, disciplines and leadership required to achieve true market distinction.

Dr Nina Bal is not your average aesthetic practitioner. Winner of Best Aesthetics Practitioner/Practice at TheIndustry.beauty Awards 2026, she has built a reputation for a refined, results-driven approach to ageing, with a philosophy firmly rooted in “less is more”.

With 18 years of clinical experience, her business is founded on a unique clinical framework and a personalised three-layer approach designed to enhance each patient’s natural features, rather than change them. Her expertise and credentials are recognised by some of the most respected bodies in the aesthetics industry. Beyond the clinic, Dr Nina is a familiar expert voice on television, where she shares her expertise on modern aesthetics and non-surgical transformation.

In this interview, she shares the core values that underpin her business and explores how these principles are brought to life across every aspect of the client experience, from consultation through to treatment and aftercare. She also discusses how she stays at the forefront of emerging trends, technologies and advancements in aesthetics, while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence, safety and patient care.

Looking ahead, Dr Nina also considers what she believes could be the next major shift in aesthetics and cosmetic medicine, as well as how evolving approaches to treatment may influence the way consumers think about aesthetics, ageing and their overall wellbeing.

What core values underpin your business and how do you bring those values to life across every aspect of the client experience and services you provide?

At the heart of my business are trust, honesty, education and putting the client first. Patients visit aesthetic practices and often confide in and trust their practitioner to understand and translate their vision, so I want every client to feel listened to, understood and completely comfortable in my care.

I believe in enhancing rather than changing and creating results that are tailored to the individual, rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach. I am also very honest with my clients and, if I do not feel a treatment is right for someone, I will always say so.

Those values run through everything I do, from the initial consultation and treatment planning through to aftercare and the ongoing relationship I build with my clients. For me, success is not just about the treatment result; it is about the trust and confidence a client has in the practitioner they have chosen.

The aesthetics and wellness industry is increasingly competitive. What do you believe truly differentiates your approach and what makes your services stand out in the market?

I think what differentiates my approach is the importance I place on individuality. Every client has different anatomy, skin, concerns and expectations, so I do not believe in taking a template approach to aesthetics.

I am very focused on natural, considered results and on understanding what the client actually wants to achieve. I want my clients to still look like themselves, just refreshed and confident.

I also think education and trust are incredibly important in a competitive industry. Clients are becoming much more informed, and I want to be someone they can come to for honest advice, whether that means recommending a treatment, suggesting something completely different or telling them that they do not need treatment at all.

Aesthetics is an ever-evolving industry. How do you stay ahead of emerging trends and advancements while ensuring the highest standards of clinical excellence, safety and patient care?

Continued education is a huge part of my practice. The aesthetics industry is constantly evolving, so I make a conscious effort to keep learning, attend training and stay informed about new products, techniques, technologies and the latest developments within the industry.

However, staying ahead does not mean following every new trend. I always look at the evidence, understand the treatment and consider whether it genuinely adds value for my clients before introducing it into my practice.

Patient safety is always the priority. I believe having the knowledge to perform a treatment safely is only part of being a good practitioner. You also need to understand when a treatment is not appropriate and have the confidence to say no.

What role does innovation play in your business and how does it influence the treatments, technologies and experiences you choose to offer your clients?

Innovation plays a really important role in my business because I want to continually improve what I can offer my clients. There are some incredible developments happening across aesthetics, particularly around skin health, regenerative approaches, injectables and advanced technologies.

That said, I am quite selective about what I introduce, as I do not believe something should be offered simply because it is the latest trend. I look at the evidence, the safety profile, the results it can achieve and whether it fits with my overall approach to patient care.

For me, innovation is about progression. It should make treatments more effective, more personalised and ultimately give clients a better experience and better outcomes.

What did winning Best Aesthetics Practitioner mean to you personally and professionally, and how does this recognition reflect the journey your brand has taken and the vision you have for its future?

Winning Best Aesthetics Practitioner was an incredibly proud moment for me, both personally and professionally. It is a huge achievement to have the work I put into my practice recognised by the industry, particularly because aesthetics is an industry I am genuinely passionate about.

There is so much that happens behind the scenes to build a successful aesthetics business. It is not just about the treatments themselves. It is about continual education, investing in your skills, building relationships with clients, keeping up with an ever-changing industry and constantly striving to improve.

For me, this award feels like recognition of that journey and the foundations I have built my brand on. It has also given me even more motivation for the future. I want to continue developing my skills, embracing new innovations and growing the business while staying true to the values that got me here.

Looking ahead, what opportunities and challenges do you believe will shape the future of the beauty and aesthetics industry and how are you positioning your business to adapt, evolve and lead?

I think the industry has an exciting future, particularly as consumers become more educated and interested in preventative skincare, skin health and subtle, natural-looking results.

One of the challenges will be navigating an increasingly crowded market and the amount of information, and sometimes misinformation, available through social media. I think practitioners have a responsibility to provide honest, evidence-based information and help clients make informed decisions.

For my business, that means continuing to invest in education, staying open to new developments and listening to what clients actually want. I want to evolve with the industry but never lose the personal approach and high standards that my business has been built around.

What do you believe will be the next major shift in aesthetics and cosmetic medicine and how do you expect this to change the way consumers approach treatments and their overall wellbeing?

I think the industry is already moving towards a much more holistic approach to aesthetics, with a greater focus on skin health, prevention and healthy ageing rather than simply changing a particular feature.

We are seeing increasing interest in treatments that improve skin quality, hydration and overall condition, alongside more subtle approaches to injectables. I think consumers will continue to move away from chasing a particular look and towards treatments that help them maintain their own features as they age.

Education will also play a huge role. I think clients will become increasingly interested in understanding why a treatment is recommended and how it fits into their wider skin and wellbeing goals, rather than simply choosing a treatment because it is trending.

Finally, what can your clients and followers look forward to from you next?

There is lots to look forward to! Winning Best Aesthetics Practitioner has definitely given me even more motivation to continue developing and pushing the business forward.

I am continuing to invest in my education and keep up with the latest developments within aesthetics, while carefully introducing new treatments and innovations where I believe they can genuinely benefit my clients.

I also want to continue sharing more educational content with my followers and helping people understand their skin, the treatments available and what is genuinely worth investing in.

The goal for the future is to keep growing, keep learning and continue creating a business that clients trust and feel proud to be part of.
