Michael Douglas unveils new Blow Hairdryer
Celebrity stylist Michael Douglas has launched a new Blow Hairdryer under his brand mdlondon.
Available in blue-grey and olive green colours, the hairdryer features versatile heat and speed settings, two directional magnetic nozzles, a magnetic pro diffuser and a self-cleaning function.
The product launch champions Douglas' vision to create a brand and platform that empowers the consumer with the tools and insight to style their hair anywhere. Customers will be able to purchase the tool and follow free styling videos that cover all looks, hair types and textures.
Priced at £195, the Blow Hairdryer is available online at mdlondon.
GloWish by Huda Beauty launches new primer
GloWish by Huda Beauty has launched a new Blur Jam Silicone-Free Smoothing Primer, featuring a lightweight formula with a jam-like texture to offer silicone-level blurring and keep skin fresh without clogging pores.
The fragrance-free primer includes 90% naturally derived ingredients such as Damascus rose water, pear, cactus flower extract and water-locking powder technology to help boost hydration and maintain skin barrier protection.
Huda Kattan, Founder and CEO of Huda Beauty and GloWish, said: “Our newest baby, Blur Jam, is my current skin prep secret. I’ve always loved the results of using a silicone-based primer, but they can sometimes irritate skin and clog pores, especially sensitive skin. Blur Jam’s hydrating, skincare-infused formula combined with its pore-blurring power and jam-like texture is unlike anything else I’ve ever tried."
Priced at £29, the GloWish Blur Jam Silicone-Free Smoothing Primer is available online at Feelunique.
Susanne Kaufmann introduces new vitamin C serum
Susanne Kaufmann has expanded its range of power serums with a new Vitamin C Complex, developed with a potent concentration of vitamin C and a trio of mushrooms to help brighten and smooth skin.
The skincare includes snow mushroom extract for hydration, Albatrellus confluens mushroom extract for an even complexion and Reishi mushroom extract to help restore skin back to optimal health.
Commenting on the launch, Susanne Kaufmann said: "We believe in the power of plants and the natural active ingredients they provide. We use these ingredients at their highest possible dosage for maximum efficacy while still being safe for the skin. Our unique plant actives and botanical essences are combined with the latest scientific developments and pioneering biotechnologies."
Priced at £110, the Vitamin C Complex is available online at Susanne Kaufmann.
CeraVe targets acne marks with new retinol serum
CeraVe has launched its new Resurfacing Retinol Serum, a barrier-friendly retinol product that tackles post-acne marks, pores and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
Complimenting the brand's Blemish Control Cleanser and CeraVe Facial Moisturising Lotions, the new serum also includes three essential ceramides to restore the skin barrier and Niacinamide to help calm skin.
Dr Alexis Granite, CeraVe Consultant Dermatologist, said: “The retinol is enclosed in a protective outer lipid or fatty acid layer, which ensures it is better able to penetrate the deeper layers of the skin, while minimising irritation along the way. It is a way of time-releasing retinol to optimise efficacy, while reducing potential side effects. Used on an ongoing basis, it will also help to prevent post-acne pigmentation, as well as treat it. When it comes to acne, it’s always better to prevent or lessen the severity versus chase the problem once it’s already there.”
Priced at £19.00, the CeraVe Resurfacing Retinol Serum will be available at Boots in October 2022.
The Body Shop rebrands 'anti-ageing' skincare products
The Body Shop has changed the name of its Drops of Youth skincare range to Edelweiss, in an effort to move away from the beauty industry's 'anti-ageing' narrative.
The new name comes with a new formula and extended line-up of products. Reformulated to deliver double the concentration of Edelweiss, the range also features natural-origin peptides to help boost the skin’s defence mechanism and barrier function.
The range includes an "improved" Edelweiss Daily Serum Concentrate, Edelweiss Serum Concentrate Sheet Mask and brand-new Edelweiss Cleansing Concentrate and Edelweiss Intense Smoothing Cream.
Priced from £6 to £30, the Edelweiss range is available online and in-store at The Body Shop.
