Revolution Beauty primer

Makeup Revolution unveils skincare-infused primer

Makeup Revolution has launched a new Super Base Vitamin Base Primer, combining the skin-nourishing qualities of a moisturiser with the benefits of a primer.

Packed with vitamins including vitamin B, C and E, shea butter and hyaluronic acid, the primer works throughout the day to hydrate and nourish skin.

The launch forms part of Revolution Beauty's ongoing strategy to "deliver amazing value and quality beauty products at affordable prices". It also taps into the sustained popularity of skincare-infused makeup, with people seeking out hybrid, multi-tasking products, particularly as the cost-of-living crisis continues.

Priced at £10, the Super Base Vitamin Base Primer is available at Superdrug, Boots, ASOS, Lookfantastic and Revolution Beauty.

It features antioxidant-rich acyl-glutathione and a hydrating vitamin F blend to soften wrinkles and fine lines, whilst providing "intense moisture" to encourage radiant skin with a plumped texture.

Priced at £79, the Essential Fx Acyl-Glutathione Chia Oil is available at Perricone MD and Lookfantastic.

BEAUTYPRO has launched a new biodegradable and 100% home compostable sheet mask range.

The sheet masks take approximately 75 days to biodegrade and can be disposed of in general waste, recycling bins or home composts. Once opened, the product's pouch takes up to two years to biodegrade.

The range features four masks, including Brightening Vitamin C, CICA & Niacinamide, Retinol and Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid.

Priced at £5 each, the sheet masks are available at Superdrug, Lookfantastic, Sainsbury's, NEXT and BEAUTYPRO.

John Legend skincare

John Legend unveils new affordable skincare line

Singer-songwriter John Legend is launching an “affordably priced” skincare line for consumers with melanin-rich skin, called Loved01.

The gender-neutral collection of "skincare must-haves" will focus on treating dryness, pH imbalances and environmental impact. The products contain sea buckthorn oil, rosehip oil, shea butter, coconut oil and jojoba oil, which work together to hydrate the skin. Every product is formulated without parabens, sulfates, mineral oil, artificial colors, and fragrance.

Loved01 is set to launch on 1 February 2023 with a direct-to-consumer site, which will also provide educational content on looking after melanin-rich skin.

Priced under $15, the range will first be available in the US, with expansion into Europe expected in the future.

Dyson topaz

Dyson unveils special-edition colourway for hair tools

Dyson has unveiled its new special-edition Topaz Orange colourway for its Supersonic hair dryer and Airwrap multi-styler Complete Long.

The colourway was inspired by the "phonetic resemblance between ‘mandarin - 桔’ and ‘luck - 吉’ in Chinese, which make mandarins immensely important during Lunar New Year, with traditions of them being exchanged between families and friends for good luck".

The metallic finish of the range in Topaz Orange was achieved through many rounds of experimentation by Dyson’s colour, materials, and finishes (CMF) engineers.

Priced at from £329.99 to £479.99, the new Topaz Orange tools are available online at Dyson.
