TikTok launches live shopping event "On Trend" featuring fashion and beauty brands
TikTok is launching a live shopping event called "On Trend", which will run on the 8 and 9 December at 5pm featuring offers and exclusive discounts by a number of beauty and fashion brands.
"We are creating a new kind of shopping experience that brings together all your favourite parts of discovering and buying new products, with a distinct TikTok twist," the tech company said.
The live event will be hosted by creators, entertainers and musicians including TV's Rylan Clark-Neal, Nikki Lilly, Kirsty Belle and you1stlondon who will present products across the beauty, fashion, nutrition and tech industries.
Featured brands will include Charlotte Tilbury, LOOKFANTASTIC, L'Oréal Paris, NYX Professional Makeup, Maybelline, JD, and Nutri Bullet.
The event will also host special performances by singer-songwriters and prolific TikTok creators Wes Nelson and Sam Ryder, with Guinness World Records' account launching a challenge for Reality TV star Gemma Collins and a special LADbible quiz.
TikTok said it wanted to build on its existing position as a leading destination for brand discovery by creating On Trend, which allows consumers a more engaging experience and also entertainment.
The live session will launch on TikTok UK's account (@tiktok_uk) or can be accessed through the Discover page by searching for "On Trend" in the search box.
The products will be sold by retailers and brands directly on TikTok, with consumer able to click on the Product Link in the bottom left corner of the LIVE to see more about that product and options to buy. Products can also be bought by clicking on Shop tab directly in the host page's Profile and browse all products for sale.
