TikTok Shop to 'unlock the power of social shopping' this British Beauty Week
TikTok Shop has partnered with the British Beauty Council to showcase the benefits of social commerce this British Beauty Week.
Under the partnership, TikTok Shop will be running a LIVE shopping session at British Beauty Week on 24 October with makeup artist and brand founder Mitchell Halliday.
It will also host a panel on 'How to Unlock the Power of Social Shopping with TikTok Shop', offering actionable advice and easy strategies for success on the platform.
This session will lift the lid on how beauty brands and retailers can win at LIVE shopping sessions with Halliday, TikTok Shop acceleration project manager for L'Oreal Paris Jack Timpany, and journalist Alessandra Steinherr.
It comes as more beauty brands than ever are leveraging TikTok Shop to unlock new levels of growth, with a beauty product being sold every two seconds on the platform.
The beauty category is also one of the most successful categories for LIVE shopping on the app, allowing consumers to see products through demos, as well as access deals such as lower prices, bundled offers, and freebies.
Major beauty brands have already embraced this opportunity, including L'Oréal Paris, which launched a new product exclusively on TikTok Shop during a 12-hour LIVE event streamed at London's Piccadilly lights.
Meanwhile, countless small businesses have found almost overnight success on TikTok Shop, including Halliday, who became the first UK merchant to make $1 million in one day on TikTok Shop through LIVE sale events, and P Louise, which made over $2 million in 12 hours on TikTok Shop.
The partnership is one of many activations hosted during British Beauty Week, taking place from 23-27 October.
Running under the theme of 'A Beauty Industry that Looks Like You', the event is designed to highlight the importance of representation and inclusion in British beauty.
It attempts to inspire beauty brands and consumers to celebrate the various facets of the industry, whilst considering the ongoing work that needs to be done to ensure all voices are heard, and appreciated, in the sector.
