Townhouse launches fundraiser for Ukraine

British nail salon brand Townhouse has announced plans to donate 100% of its revenue to the UNHCR Emergency Appeal for the Ukraine on 8 March 2022.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is a global organisation working to "save lives, protect rights and build a better future for refugees, forcibly displaced communities and stateless people". As Russia continues its military invasion of the Ukraine, UNHCR is in Ukraine and neighbouring countries providing vital shelter, food and aid.

The fundraiser is part of an industry-wide #BeautyforUkraine campaign on Instagram, which will see beauty businesses uniting to donate all or a portion of their revenue tomorrow.

The movement now has over 40 businesses around the world pledging to join the fundraiser. This includes other salons such as @thenailloungegreenfield, @getbeautiful_shepperton, @nailspahuddersfield and @beautybox.ldn.

Founded in 2018 by Juanita Huber-Millet, Townhouse is a nail salon with a cult celebrity and VIP following. The brand has three salons at Harrods in London, H beauty in Milton Keynes and its own stand alone salon in London's Fitzrovia. The brand will donate its funds across all three locations to UNHCR.
