Tropic Skincare takes different approach to Black Friday with new 'give back' scheme
Natural beauty brand Tropic Skincare is swapping flash sales and huge discounts for a new charitable initiative this Black Friday.
The ‘Give Back Friday’ scheme supports global charity UWS, which works to ensure children have access to quality, inclusive education in remote and marginalised communities by collaborating with local partners, communities and governments.
For every £80 spent, customers will receive a free, full-size Smoothing Cleanser and fund one day of education for a child who’d otherwise have no access to school.
Meanwhile, with orders of at least £120, customers will receive a Smoothing Cleanser, Wild Mango Butterbalm, and fund two days of education.
The brand hopes to donate 20,000 schooldays through the new scheme, forming part of its goal to create a "healthier, greener, and more empowered world".

Founded by Susie Ma, Tropic Skincare blends tropical botanicals with cutting-edge science to create a range of vegan beauty products.
Inspired by her Grandma's homemade body scrub recipe, Ma started out selling at Greenwich market. Today, the brand stocks a variety of products across skincare, bodycare, makeup and haircare.
It has partnered with UWS since 2019, helping to fund over six million days of education worldwide, building three Tropic schools in Cambodia, Nepal and Madagascar, and supporting hundreds more around the world.
The brand hopes the new initiative will "supercharge its work with UWS and make a lasting impact to the communities it supports".
"Together, let’s create a world where every child has access to the quality and inclusive education the deserve, and where every purchase you make leaves a positive impact on people and planet," Tropic Skincare's website reads.
