Tropic’s Give Back Friday initiative funds over 70,000 days of education
Tropic Skincare’s Black Friday initiative to swap flash sales and huge discounts with charitable donations exceeded expectations, funding over 73,000 days of education.
The initiative meant that for every £80 spent, customers received a free, full-size Smoothing Cleanser and funded one day of education for a child who’d otherwise have no access to school.
Meanwhile, with orders of at least £120, customers would receive a Smoothing Cleanser, Wild Mango Butterbalm, and fund two days of education.
The target was to fund 20,000 days of education for children in remote parts of the world, in partnership with UWS.
Today, it was revealed that the natural beauty brand exceeded its Give Back Friday target (and stretch target of 40k). Together with its Ambassadors and customers Tropic raised enough money to fund 73,703 days of education.
Emily Mitchell, Marketing Director at Tropic, commented: “We are delighted to have smashed our initial goal, and our stretch target, with our Give Back Friday initiative. Thousands of children will benefit from the generosity of our Ambassadors and customers, with access to education that will help to change their futures, their families and their communities. At Tropic, we are proud to do good beyond beauty.”
The Give Back Friday offer was in addition to its always-on pledge of donating 10% of all profits to charity and good causes. This includes its ongoing partnership with UWS, with Tropic funded over 6 million days of education since 2019.
