Troye Sivan named Rabanne’s first Global Makeup Brand Ambassador
Puig-owned Rabanne has revealed pop sensation Troye Sivan as its first Global Makeup Brand Ambassador. The Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter will face the brand's campaigns, showcasing its gender-neutral product line on a global stage.
In a statement, Puig said: "We are delighted to announce Troye Sivan as the new Rabanne Global Makeup Brand Ambassador. Together, we begin a new chapter founded on a mutual desire for playful self-expression and innovative disruption."
Paco Rabanne was renowned for its fashion and fragrance offering for decades before the birth of its beauty line last year. Now, the brand has a 90-unit strong lineup, offering space-age-inspired products to the masses whether that be through its DTC channels or via Selfridges.
Australian-born Sivan has made a name for himself as an LGBTQIA+ icon, boasting 39 million social media followers. First up on his line of appearances is starring in Rabanne's Fresh Touch Foundation campaign, shot by Louise Thornfeldt and Maria Thornfeld, which previewed today.
The pop star's interactions with Rabanne came long before this latest venture. He has worn a slew of Rabanne looks during music videos and appearances.
Troy Sivan said: "I’ve always been attracted to Rabanne’s effortless vibe. I love to play and express myself, and I have actively worked over the years to unlearn any restrictions I put on myself when it comes to fashion and beauty. Something about Rabanne just feels very right to me personally, and their approach to fashion and beauty is aligned with mine."
