Heritage candle and fragrance house Trudon has appointed Hugo Ferroux as Creative Director, entrusting him with the artistic direction of both Trudon and its sister house, Carrière Frères.

Ferroux will shape the creative vision of the brands, bringing a contemporary lens while honouring their storied heritage.

His approach centres on storytelling, culture and design, with the goal of creating collections in which each fragrance and candle embodies a narrative that is both rooted in tradition and relevant to today.

"I have long admired Trudon - its history, storytelling, and coherent approach to heritage define a form of luxury where every detail matters. Trudon is more than a perfume house; it is a living heritage," said Ferroux.

Born in Chambéry, Ferroux studied fashion at Studio Berçot and began his career at Mugler as an assistant to the artistic director. He later joined Saint Laurent in 2013, collaborating closely with Anthony Vaccarello.

His narrative-driven, heritage-focused vision will be brought to life in collections launching from this month.

Founded in 1643, Trudon has a storied legacy, having supplied candles to Louis XIV’s royal court and many of France’s great churches.

Today, the house continues to light sacred spaces such as Saint-Roch in Paris, while offering an exquisite range of scented candles, diffusers, and personal fragrances.
