Independent beauty and wellness brand Manifesto has broken into the UK’s growing edible beauty market with the launch of its first range of cherry-flavoured beauty gummies.

Available online now for an rrp of £39.90 for a tin of 60, each edible gummy contains a beauty-boosting blend of vitamins and minerals including selenium, zinc, biotin and vitamin E, C and A to support skin, hair and nail health.

The gummies also contain the powerful antioxidant astaxanthin – purported to be 6,000 times stronger than Vitamin C, which works to improve skin texture and elasticity.

They also contain prebiotic fibre to support optimal absorption and gut health.

The UK market for edible beauty gummies includes an ever-expanding range of options from independent brands such as HUM Nutrition, The Nue Co, and Votary, as well as own-brand options from Boots and Holland & Barrett, among others.

Globally, the gummy vitamin market is predicted to grow by 12.5% and hit a value of $10.6bn by 2025.

Manifesto Founder Anna Marcovici, who has held leadership roles within global beauty brands NARS, MAC and Bobbi Brown, said: “For us it was always going to be gummies as they’re an easy and fun way to incorporate a supplement into your routine and feel more like a treat and less of a chore, so we believe it’s more likely that people will stick with them.”

Vegan, gluten-free, allergen-free, Halal friendly and without any artificial colours or flavours, the gummies also contain less sugar than a cherry.

The gummies are packaged in 100% home compostable, plastic-free sachets (made out of sustainably grown eucalyptus) that are tucked inside reusable and recyclable aluminium tins.
