Razor brand Venus and women’s health charity the Lady Garden Foundation have announced a new partnership to help women have greater confidence and awareness of their gynaecological health.

The #KnowYourPubic campaign aims to normalise language surrounding pubic care and gynaecological health, to help women have the confidence to talk more openly and without embarrassment.

By creating a more public dialogue, the partnership hopes to remove misinformation, giving women better knowledge of different gynaecological cancers and symptoms to help improve earlier detection rates.

Venus has also launched a special pack of its Venus for Pubic Hair and Skin Razor at Superdrug. For every pack sold, a donation will be made to the Lady Garden Foundation, helping to fund research and provide resources for those affected by and living with gynaecological cancers.

Jenny Halpern Prince, Chair and Co-founder of the Lady Garden Foundation, said: "We know first-hand the power talking can have to break-down taboos, normalise conversations and help to educate women on the early symptoms of gynaecological cancers. Not only that, but you can use the time when caring for your pubic areas to familiarise yourself with what normal looks and feels like for you – so you’ll notice any possible changes.”
