Why Erborian is lowering prices despite rising costs
K-beauty brand Erborian has lowered prices across its entire product range, following customer feedback.
After reviewing its pricing structure, the skincare brand has set out to make its products more accessible to customers.
As of this month, Erborian has adjusted its prices to between £4 - £44, down from £6.50 - £62 previously.
However, the changes come as Erborian's internal company costs increase by nearly 0.6% compared to last year, meaning the adjustment will impact its margins.
Despite this, the business emphasises that the price reduction was "the right thing to do" to ensure that its products "can be bought and enjoyed by customers".
Deborah Goldweis, General Manager UK & Eire at Erborian, told TheIndustry.beauty: "The Erborian price change was driven by consumer feedback.
"Recognising these insights and the rising cost of living in the UK, we made the decision to align with the market and ensure our products remain accessible to our community."
Despite the lower prices, Erborian emphasised that it has not made changes to product formulation or packaging as a means to cut corners and reduce cost of goods.
Founded in 2007, Erborian epitomises the fusion of Korean skincare expertise with French luxury, crafting innovative formulations enriched with traditional Korean herbs.
Its bestselling products include a CC Cream and BB Cream, which continue to gain consumer attention on social media as the Korean beauty trend continues to thrive.
