Zara is just days away from making its bold new entrance into the beauty space after more than 18 months of developing its new ultra-sustainable and inclusive range.

The collection, which includes products for eyes, lips, face, and nails has been developed by British makeup artist Diane Kendal and is due to hit stores on May 12.

Inspired by the slogan ‘There is no beauty, only beauties’, the inclusive collection features high-quality compounds and comes in a range of more than 130 colours including a mix of matt, satin and pearl finishes for a wide spectrum of skin tones.

Housed in “thoughtfully designed packaging,” made with extensive use of recycled glass, the range has also been “crafted to keep,” with all products engineered to be refilled and re-used.

The retailer is also working to develop a recycling programme to give products a “new life” after use.

The Zara Beauty range will launch in stores across Europe, the US, Canada, Mexico, China, South Korea, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand on May 12.

In-store, the collection will be merchandised in new fully-fitted dedicated sections which will be set apart from the main shop floor with colour-matching flooring, walls and ceilings.

Zara Beauty will also be fully shoppable online where it will also be supported by Zara’s virtual try-on tool.

Zara has previously dipped its toes into the beauty sector, having launched a lipstick line inspired by makeup artist Pat McGrath in 2018 and has collaborated with Jo Malone on a fragrance.
