San Francisco-based skincare brand ZitSticka - known for its microdart pimple patch Killa, which kills acne-causing bacteria – is finally coming to the UK in partnership with Superdrug.

The sought-after range provides an array of products to help with every zit stage from pre-pimple to post-pimple. With prices starting from £7.99, shoppers can get their hands on the brand’s best-selling Goo Getter or the Killa.

Korean skincare brands, such as Hero, introduced pimple patches to the West and soon after found they had a hit on their hands. Since then, an array of competitors have cropped up with their spin on the phenomena - think Starface and its aesthetic take on the skincare must-have.

In 2017, Daniel Kaplan and Robbie Miller founded the digitally-native skincare brand ZitSticka, introducing the microdart pimple patch. In just a few years, the brand has expanded from pimple patches to a line of supplements, body washes and more.

Heyday acquired ZitSticka for an undisclosed sum back in November 2022 to help grow its personal care business, especially in the high-growth category of acne patches.

After finding success through third-party retailers in the US, such as Target and Ulta, the brand is giving the UK a go.

Trish Kozlak, Head of Retail at Heyday, told TheIndustry.beauty: "ZitSticka's international launch into Superdrug marks an exciting milestone for the brand.

"As one of the UK's leading health and beauty retailers and viewed by customers as a place of discovery, this partnership perfectly aligns with our mission to make effective acne solutions more accessible for all. We are thrilled to bring our innovative, science-backed acne solutions to a wider audience in the UK."

ZitSticka is available online and in-store at Superdrug now.
