Purpose:
for brands or retailers demonstrating a meaningful purpose beyond their core business of creating and selling brilliant beauty products. We are looking for companies that are truly committed to a cause be it environmental, charitable, community, inclusivity or any or more of these. Companies shortlisted in this category will be able to demonstrate that purpose permeates everything they do and they will be able to demonstrate positive impact. Use your entry to tell us about your strategy and projects and the positive results you have had.
Experience:
for brands, retailers or salons taking on-line or off-line (or both) experience to the next level. Is your retail store offering next-level service? Does your online store leverage technology to offer a positive and engaging experience? Is your delivery service second to none? We want to hear how your brand is focused on delivering the best possible experience for your customers at all relevant touch points and how this has brought benefits to your business, such as increased conversion, loyalty and brand sentiment. Use your entry to provide details of your brand’s experience and tell us why it’s market-leading.
Engagement:
building an engaged community around a brand is crucial and we’re looking for examples of excellence in the field. Community is so important for beauty brands. How do you build yours, which channels do you leverage and why, how do you keep your community engaged (online and in person), how do you involve them in the development of your brand, how do you reward them? These are all questions we’d love to hear the answers to in your entry. Give our judges as much information as possible to help them understand why you are the best in the field.

Collaboration:
we’re shining a spotlight here on brands and retailers who have teamed up with a partner, be it a designer, a charity, a tech provider, a delivery service, to bring something truly meaningful to market. Sometimes when two parties come together the outcome can be magical. It can lead to a new product, an elevated service or the creation of a new category or market. Tell us how your brand has teamed up with a partner, what the strategy behind the partnership was and the results that partnership had for your brand and customers. Please note, if your collaboration concerns the co-creation of a product please send us six samples of the product/s to the address shown when you click through to the entry page. We will consider any collaboration that took place from January 2023 to the end of March 2024 for this category.

Activation:
this category celebrates a campaign or pop-up activity that truly helped a brand to engage a new audience. Beauty brands can be brilliant at activations and we’d love to hear of some of the best ones out there. This could be an online activation or a physical retail pop-up, a promotional activity at a large event or a sampling campaign that yielded great results. Tell us what you set out to do, how you did it and what the results were. We will consider any activation that took place from January 2023 to the end of March 2024 for this category.

Physical Retail:
we’re looking for the best examples of bricks and mortar retail in beauty. This can be a new, existing or revamped store environment. Tell us how your physical store/s is/are ground-breaking. We want to see examples of great and engaging store design, value added services and experiences, outstanding customer service and, of course, a great line-up of product. Your entry can focus on a full store estate, a recently opened or refurbished store or one particular flagship. We just want to see a brand that is truly pushing boundaries in bricks and mortar.
Digital Retail:
website, apps, social shopping, live shopping – we’re looking at everything that falls in the broad category of online retail. Is your brand pushing boundaries to drive conversions and loyalty and to offer a superior customer experience? Perhaps you are using AI to aid shoppers with their product selections and to personalist the experience, maybe you are staging live shopping events or offering superior delivery service. Anything that shows you are best in class will be considered by judges, who will also want to see evidence of success.
New Brand:
beauty is a hotbed of launch activity and we’re looking for the best new brand to have launched in the past year. We’re looking for a brand that offers something new and interesting in a crowded marketplace and which can provide evidence of success already. Judges will be taking everything into consideration including formulation, packaging, branding and marketing. Please note for this category, as well as your written citation, we will require at least six samples of your brand’s products to be sent to the address shown when you click through to entry page. Qualifying launch period January 2023 to March 2024.
New Product:
This category is for existing brands who have added something new and interesting to their line up (entirely new brands should enter the New Brand category). We’ll be looking at everything from formulation to packaging and, of course, results. Products across all beauty categories from fragrance to make-up, skincare, bodycare, haircare and ingestible beauty will be considered. Please note for this category, as well as your written citation, we will require at least six samples of your new product to be sent to the address shown when you click through to entry page. Qualifying launch period January 2023 to March 2024.
