Caroline Hirons joins BABTAC board

The British Association of Beauty Therapy & Cosmetology (BABTAC) has added skincare expert Caroline Hirons to its Board of Directors.

A long-standing member of BABTAC, Hirons is known within the organisation and the wider beauty industry for her credible voice and vast expertise.

She has further immersed herself within BABTAC this year, acting as a speaker at its annual conference and awards, as well as campaigning alongside the organisation on industry initiatives, including BABTAC’s T.I.M.E. initiative to help consumers identify safe beauty services and professionals.

Now joining the board, Hirons will use her platform and expertise to "input her knowledge and bring awareness to BABTAC’s work within the industry", which places focus on issues including the need for industry wide regulation, recognised qualifications and safety standards.

"BABTAC has been a part of my beauty career for as long as I can remember, so I am absolutely delighted to be joining the board, said Hirons.

"Like this organisation, I am a fierce advocate of fit for purpose training and professional practice to ensure we elevate the reputation of our industry, support our members and safeguard consumers.

BABTAC is a membership organisation and insurance provider set up to raise the level of professionalism in the aesthetics, beauty, hair, and wellbeing industries.

It campaigns for the introduction of a suitable form of regulation while currently self-regulating its own members, all with the objective of protecting the public and giving reputable professionals recognition.
