Victoria Beckham is launching a new fragrance collection under her eponymous beauty brand, with each scent inspired by a particular era in her own life.

Created in collaboration with master parfumier Jérôme Épinette, the genderless artisanal fragrances "render in scent the visual language cultivated by Beckham at her fashion and beauty business over the past 15 years".

Beckham first launched her eponymous womenswear label in 2008. Shortly after, she ventured into the beauty space, creating two capsule collections with Estée Lauder before launching Victoria Beckham Beauty in 2019.

Founded on the idea that "beauty should complement and empower the dynamic life you lead", Beckham set out to create a new standard of clean luxury with high-performing, cruelty-free and sustainably-minded makeup, skincare and now fragrance.

The scents

Portofino ‘97

The scent evokes "the enrapturing fragrance of bourgeoning romance through the memory of Portofino ’97". It boasts a euphoric hit of Calabrian bergamot and black pepper; crisp white sheets suffused with incense and amber; patchouli and vetiver lingering on the skin of a significant other.

Suite 302

The scent conjures "the sumptuous spirit of whirlwind visits to Paris in the memory of Suite 302". It contains an erotic mélange of black cherry and red peppercorn; dimmed hotel rooms clouded in rose centifolia, midnight violet and narcotic musk; plush velvets saturated with papyrus, black leather and masculine tobacco leaf.

San Ysidro Drive

The scent captures "the mending and motivating spirit of mindfulness in the memory of San Ysidro Drive". It features an intense rush of passion fruit and pink peony; vitalising ocean air infused with rich rose absolute, saffron flower and agarwood; black amber and vanilla incensing the atmosphere of a personal sanctuary.

The design

In keeping with the visual identity of Victoria Beckham Beauty, the responsibly-crafted fragrances are bottled in flacons inspired by the "glamorous modernity" of early and mid-twentieth-century perfume design.

The perfumes are also presented in white cartons debossed with notes on the scents and memories that created them.

Victoria Beckham Beauty

The launch is supported by a campaign shot by Steven Klein, which "visualises the essence of each fragrance through a present-day lens". It marks Beckham’s first appearance in a campaign for her own brand.

Priced at £170 for 50ml and £245 for 100ml, the new fragrances will be available at Victoria Beckham Beauty from 29 September 2023.
