NEXT Beauty Chief Executive Amanda Scott has stepped down after almost five years at the business.

She is said to have exited the company and taken on advisory roles with other beauty brands, according to Retail Week.

Next Beauty

Scott joined NEXT Beauty in July 2019, bringing a wealth of experience from her career across the fashion and beauty industries. She previously served as CEO and Managing Director of Marie Claire Beauty.

Prior to this, she held a number of positions in buying across womenswear, childrenswear, accessories and beauty at John Lewis, as well as similar roles at Debenhams, Freemans and Lillywhites.

Under her leadership, NEXT has significantly invested into the expansion of its beauty category, opening beauty halls under the name Beauty Hall by NEXT in the UK.

It has also bolstered its product offering with Bath & Body Works, alongside the debut of its own skincare line called Woah.

Woah launched in 2022 with 16 skincare products for all skin types, such as serums, cleansers, toners, masks and creams, each designed for a "simple and easy to use step-by-step routine for morning and night".

It is one of a number of beauty brands stocked at NEXT, including Clinique, MAC, Elemis, Estee Lauder and Dyson, amongst others.
