Supergoop appoints Lisa Sequino as CEO

Sun protection brand Supergoop has appointed Lisa Sequino as its new Chief Executive Officer to further accelerate global growth and product innovation.

Sequino joins the US-based business from JLo Beauty, where she has served as Co-founder and CEO since March 2022.

Prior to this, she spent nearly a decade in leadership positions at the Estee Lauder Companies, overseeing the global strategy and growth for a number of its consumer and lifestyle brands.

She also previously held senior marketing, innovation, sales and M&A roles at Procter & Gamble, focusing on its extensive portfolio of beauty, personal care and wellness brands.

Founded after her friend was diagnosed with skin cancer in her early 30s, Thaggard created Supergoop to offer a range of skincare and beauty essentials with SPF.

The brand first launched in the UK in 2020 and has products available at Cult Beauty, Selfridges and Net-A-Porter.

Sequino’s appointment follows its significant global expansion across more than 20 new markets in 2023 and the launches of new SPF-infused innovations, including an Unseen Sunscreen Body SPF 40 and Triple Prep SPF 40 Weightless Moisturiser.
