Boots, the highstreet-favourite health and beauty retailer, goes head to head with H Beauty, Sephora and Space NK after opening the doors to its first concept ‘Boots Beauty’ store today at London's historic landmark, Battersea Power Station.

The 11,200 sq ft store showcases the best of beauty at Boots, featuring 250 curated beauty brands across skincare, cosmetics, body care, hair care and fragrance. In-house, the retailer offers top-to-toe beauty solutions to suit all budgets. This includes new brands such as R.E.M Beauty, Kerastase, Shu Uemura and Bubble.

The launch coincides with the transformation of the Boots beauty offering, following the revamp of over 170 beauty halls across the UK over the last three years.

Not only will the space host a seemingly endless supply of beauty products, but - in a bid to make clinical skin care support more widely accessible on the high street - it will also offer personal skin services. For example, it will be home to a dermatologist-trained pharmacist as well as dermatologist Dr Justine, who will offer free consultations provided by  Hextall.

In a private consultation space, specialists will provide one-to-one clinical advice for a variety of conditions including acne, rosacea, eczema and psoriasis.

Additionally, the store will be home to a new team of 35 Boots Beauty Specialists who, for the first time, can provide customers with free Skin Scan services using a NEXA skin imaging tool for in-depth analysis and advice. Another Boots first sees the retailer invite shoppers to book £60 Dermalux LED Light Treatment services.

Jenna Ward, Head of Beauty Reinvention at Boots, said: “The new Boots Beauty store at Battersea Power Station provides a platform for us to test the latest brands and new service innovations before we introduce them to customers shopping in our stores across the country.

"By combining Boots's 175 years of pharmacy heritage with our market-leading beauty offering, we can offer accessible and holistic skincare expertise on the high street in a way that’s never been done before. The opening of this new store marks a major milestone in Boots's transformation of beauty on the high street.”

There is also a hair bar that offers professional scalp analysis and weekly styling services from Dyson and Drybar.

As for its fragrance offering, there is a new-concept Fragrance Discovery Bar with a refill station. Leading on from this, a dedicated beauty product recycling station and free-of-charge gift wrap services are also available.

Boots Beauty is located at Battersea Power Station on Electric Boulevard, which runs from Battersea Park Road to the south entrance of Battersea Power Station. The store opens today at 10:30 am.
