British Beauty Week day four continues 'power of beauty' message
The fourth day of British Beauty Week has offered a variety of events for beauty consumers nationwide, with more to follow this evening.
Running from 5-11 September 2022, the British Beauty Council describes this year's event as the "most inclusive and accessible yet". Throughout the week, beauty consumers will be able to connect with brands, retailers, salons, charities and ecommerce platforms to celebrate the beauty industry.
Day four of British Beauty Week has seen a number of physical and digital events take place across the country, such as workshops, shopping events, panel discussions and webinars.
Avon hosted a 'Do Beauty Your Way: Celebrating female entrepreneurship' panel discussion on Facebook, which celebrated over 130 years of Avon giving women a platform to earn, learn and do beauty their way.
A digital round table on 'Democratising Beauty at Boots' looked at the journey the health and beauty retailer is on to make beauty accessible to all.
Later this evening, Coppafeel joins Kate McIver Skin on an Instagram Live to explore 'How to harness the power of beauty and charity partnerships'. Along with a 'Hair Masterclass with Industry Legend Sam McKnight' at Space NK in Edinburgh.
The fourth day of British Beauty Week has also featured a series of in-store experiences such as a Weleda Skin Food Piazza Pop-Up in London's Covent Garden and a variety of treatments at Space NK stores nationwide.
Millie Kendall OBE, British Beauty Council CEO, said: "Weleda’s Skin Food pop up launched today in Covent Garden and is simply gorgeous, it’s there until Saturday and it’s a must see.
"This morning we held the first Plastics Solutions Summit, the event was a closed door session of industry thought leaders looking at ways the industry can work together to drive tangible change and make the move to a plastic free existence a reality.
"Boots & No7 Beauty Company held a roundtable about democratising beauty with Beth Dolecki the BBCo DEI committee member in conversation with the head of global trends, the events team artist at Kendo brands, senior customer and category manager, a Boots beauty specialist and an insight beauty manager.
"Most excitingly, this evening we will see the launch of Hair by Sam McKnight at Space NK's George Street store in Edinburgh, where consumers will be able to discover his new collection and learn industry tips from the legend himself. Hydrafacial will launch a film with some serious industry experts talking about skin confidence, this features our very own Chief of Policy Victoria Brownlie.
"From 7:30pm, celebrity hairdresser Michael Douglas will join Kathryn from Kate McIver Skin over on Instagram for a Q&A on all things hair. Whether it was a question about hair health post-chemotherapy or about menopausal hair and everything in between."
