Diptyque has named Laurence Semichon as its new CEO, replacing Fabienne Mauny, who will become Operating Partner and Brand President at the luxury fragrance brand through its owner, Manzanita Capital.

Semichon first joined Diptyque as Senior Vice President Parfum & Beauté in 2019, later becoming

In her new role as Chief Executive, she will be in charge of leading the next phase of growth while preserving the brand's singularity and continuing building Diptyque as a lifestyle luxury brand.

Semichon will assisted by Nicolas Floquet, who will take on the newly created role of Deputy CEO, having served as Chief Operating Officer since 2012.

Meanwhile, Mauny will replace Chris Garek, who has announced his intention to retire after more than a decade working across Manzanita's various beauty brands.

"The governance changes announced today will prepare Diptyque for the future and enable solid, profitable and sustainable growth," Bill Fisher, Chairman of Manzantia Capital, told WWD.

"This governance reflects on what we have always wanted to instill: a form of community and recognition of the founders' project but also the opportunity to give new responsibilities to those who have contributed to the development and strategic repositioning of the company," added Mauny.

All new leadership changes will come into effect from 1 July. In the UK, the company's operations are still spearheaded by Amanda Morgan, Managing Director for the region.

The news comes as Diptyque continues to drive growth and global expansion, having introduced its new Maisons Diptyque store concept last month.

The brand opened a new flagship boutique at 107 New Bond Street in London, taking over a large three-story apartment, as well as in Paris, with both stores marking the largest ever opened by the business.

Part boutique, part cultural space, Maisons Diptyque blends the brand's emblematic creations with a range of artistic and cultural experiences, all housed in an architectural setting "reminiscent of the apartment of a Parisian aesthete".
