Parisian perfumer Diptyque has opened its new Chelsea pop-up shop just in time for the floral art show Chelsea in Bloom. Alongside a number of boutiques on Sloan Street, the new pop-up has created a beautifully floral-themed experience that uses over 2,000 blushing roses on the store front.

White-washed frames and Parisian deck-chairs on the store front further create an atmosphere of calm reflection in the buzz of the city, serving both locals and the canine community of Sloane Square as an elegant seating opportunity, as can be seen below.

The flora display was created by local florists, Blooming Haus, and forms one part of this year's theme for the flower show, which is "British Icons". The main star of the show, however, are the decorative tea sets that line the top shelf of the store's interior, and pay homage to the Thé / Tea candle.

In unison the two create the ‘teatime in roses’ concept and reflects both the French heritage of the brand, which opened its first store in Paris, as well as the British roots of the brand co-founder Desmond Knox-Leet, who was a painter at Bletchley Park during World War II.

In a further nod to Knox-Leet's influence on the brand, the interior of the store features a bespoke version of Diptyque’s Boscage wallpaper, which is inspired by Know-Leet's early illustrations.

After the duration of the two-week residency, the brand has committed to repurpose the flower installation, and it has also demonstrated how to give a new lease of life to empty candle jars, one of its key products, as decorative items.

Just next door to the pop-up store on Sloane Street, Diptyque will soon open its UK flagship location, a large and imposing corner space that will host the brand's entire range of products.

The pop-up store is located on 160 Sloane Street, London, SW1X 9BT. It is open Monday to Saturday, 10am – 6pm and Sunday from 11am to 5pm.
