L'Occitane's new mission statement champions people and nature

L'Occitane Group, the owner of L'Occitane and Elemis, has unveiled its new corporate mission statement, proclaiming "with empowerment we positively impact people and regenerate nature".

The new corporate mission represents the next phase of the company's transformation into a "geographically balanced, multi-brand group". The three core principles of the mission are to empower, ensure the group's actions have a positive impact on people and regenerate nature.

To empower, L'Occitane hopes to inspire innovation and unlock new opportunities for its stakeholders, as well as bring value to its consumers and communities.

To ensure the group's actions have a positive impact on people, L'Occitane will strengthen its commitment to the communities involved in ethical sourcing, design, manufacture and sale of its goods.

To regenerate nature, the group will focus on nature and how the positive actions of all employees can have a direct impact on it.

To protect the mission over time and incorporate it into decision-making, L'Occitane has approved amending the company’s 'Articles of Association' to include ESG considerations. The group has also created a Sustainability Committee, with each member of the leadership team now a steward of the group's mission.
