Merit Beauty names former MAC Global President as CEO
Minimalist makeup brand Merit Beauty has appointed Philippe Pinatel as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Pinatel brings years of experience in the beauty industry, having most recently served as Global President at MAC Cosmetics following his promotion from Global General Manager in 2020.
Prior to this, he held the position of President and COO at Birchbox for two years, as well as a number of senior roles at Sephora, Guerlain and Clarins across various regions.

"Philippe has a long history of shepherding brands through rapid growth and leading complex, multibillion-dollar global organisations, which will be critical in Merit's journey towards becoming a generation-defining beauty brand."
Launched during the pandemic in 2021, Merit is a US-based cosmetics brand that caters to the growing demand for pared back beauty products from the 'Millennial and up' market.
Since its launch, the brand has experienced global growth and launched into the UK last year via its own website.
