Pharrell Williams is expanding his Humanrace brand once again, as it marks its foray into the suncare category.

Launching on 14 July, the new suncare category will include the Ozone Face Protection Daily Moisturizer and the Ozone Body Protection Cream, both of which boast SPF 30 protection and are comprised of mineral-based formulations.

In a statement, Williams pointed to the importance of including suncare in one’s daily routine. "Our Earth’s ozone layer naturally protects us from harmful UV radiation from the sun, but we still need to protect ourselves daily from the UV rays that get through," he said.

"We believe there is room under the sun for everyone, and we all need to be wearing sunscreen daily."

The launch was developed with the help of Williams’ personal dermatologist of 20 years, Dr. Elena Jones. The two refillable mineral-based products are both water-resistanƒt and formulated with non-nano zinc oxide and the company’s signature snow mushroom extract.

The body cream and face moisturiser will each retail for $58 and $52 respectively while the Ozone Protection Set, which includes both products, is available $94.

The packaging of both products was made with more than 50% post-consumer recycled landfill plastic, and consumers will be able to purchase refills at a discounted price.
