Sephora to open second UK store in London
Sephora has selected London's Westfield Stratford City as the location for its second store in the UK.
Expected to open in November 2023, the announcement follows the success of Sephora's first store opening at Westfield London in March 2023.
Sephora originally left the UK market in 2005, having opened a handful of stores.
In 2021, as a prelude to its return, the retailer acquired Feelunique in a £132 million deal. The global beauty retailer then took over Feelunique's former website and launched in the UK online in October 2022.
Following its e-commerce launch, Sephora opened at Westfield London. The 6,000+ sq ft space showcases "an exceptional assortment of products and personal services" and "next generation retail design features" for UK consumers to discover.
The opening outperformed expectations by 300%, according to LVMH CEO of Selective Retailing Christopher de Lapuente. LVMH also reported an "exceptional performance" from Sephora boosting overall sales during the first quarter of FY23.
