The Perfume Shop achieves 'strong' Mother's Day sales
British fragrance retailer The Perfume Shop has reported a rise in Mother's Day sales after shoppers splashed out on gifts sets.
According to the fragrance retailer, this equates to approximately 140,000 bottles sold during 3-10 March 2024.
This reflects a 11% rise in sales of classic fragrances and an 100% increase in gift sets, compared to the same period in 2023.
Promotional deals also proved popular, with the website's busiest day on Sunday 3 March, seeing a 24.9% uplift in perfume purchases.
Best-selling scents such as Marc Jacobs Daisy, Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, Dior Miss Dior, Carolina Herrera Good Girl Blush Elixir, Vera Wang Princess, and Hugo Boss The Scent Elixir For Her were among the top fragrances this Mother's Day.
The retailer’s personalisation services were also in demand, delivering over 27,000 ribbons and 460 engraved fragrances.
