The Perfume Shop has reported an "outstanding" sales period for Father’s Day, with a record 224,000 bottles sold over 14 days in the run up to 18 June 2023.
According to the fragrance retailer, this equates to approximately 11 bottles sold every minute.
In-store and online sales were boosted 9.1% during the month leading up to Father’s Day, with bestsellers including Dior Sauvage, Prada Luna Rossa Ocean and Bleu de Chanel.
With in-store and online services able to add a personal touch to presents, June has also seen over 2,043 bottles engraved and 36,296 personalised ribbons sold so far.
Andrea Rickard, Trading Director at The Perfume Shop, said: “Perfume is always a popular gift for Father’s Day.
"We’re so pleased to see the increase in sales over this period, as we know many of our shoppers still appreciate value in a cost-of-living crisis."
This year's sales performance beats last year, with The Perfume Shop selling over 119,000 bottles, engraving 1,700 bottles and personalising 23,000 ribbons ahead of Father's Day 2022.
