15 March 2024

Botanical beauty brand Wildsmith Skin is opening an eight-week complimentary treatment space at Liberty from 27 March 2024.

Located in the department store's first-floor atrium, The Wildsmith House will allow consumers to experience the brand's Radical Botany Facial.

Inspired by the transformative effects of its original facial, this curated 30-minute version incorporates guided breathwork, gentle cleanse and exfoliation, myofascial release, and a purposeful selection of clinically proven skincare to deliver "fresh, hydrated, healthier-looking skin".

The residency will invite guests to embrace slow time and reconnect with nature's pace while discovering the healing power of the great outdoors.Guests can retreat from the urban environment of Central London with a natural soundscape from the Heckfield Estate in Hampshire, home to wellbeing space The Bothy by Wildsmith, all while absorbing the benefits of advanced bioactive formulas used by a highly-trained practitioner.

The space will also be populated with tree seedlings that are the direct offspring of the original specimen trees planted by botanist William Walker Wildsmith in the 1860s, including Japanese Cedar and Lawson Cypress grown from seed by Heckfield's resident arborists.

This living, breathing micro-forest, complete with native woodland under planting, promises to create "an elegant treatment room that reflects the interiors and restorative ecosystem beloved of guests to The Bothy".

In addition to the treatment experience, Wildsmith has launched its full skincare line online and in-store at Liberty's Beauty Hall.

It comes as the department store continues to invest in the beauty category, with the launch of its new luxury fragrance lounge today, 15 March.

Situated on the lower ground floor, The Fragrance Lounge represents a "significant departure from the conventional retail landscape in Central London" with a unique concierge desk service designed for guests to discover fragrances based on olfactory family rather than brand.
