Eco-friendly brand Faith In Nature is celebrating its 50th anniversary by launching a series of sustainable product innovations, from packaging to formulations.

The company is transitioning to infinitely recyclable aluminium packaging, enhancing each product with more active natural ingredients, and sourcing materials that benefit the environment.

As part of this, Faith In Nature has reduced its plastic use with a new 500ml range presented in 100% recycled aluminium.

It has also added even more active natural ingredients like rosemary, nettle, chamomile, oat, lime, and elderberry to its formulations, while also choosing ingredients for their efficacy and environmental benefits, such as tea tree oil supporting koala habitats and shea butter aiding women’s cooperatives in Ghana.

The new advancements are a direct response to Nature's role in the business, a unique initiative introduced in 2022 that saw the brand appoint a new director to represent Nature on its board.

Simeon Rose, Brand Director at Faith In Nature, said: "These are the first products in the world that Nature has actively contributed to developing. As a voting board member, Nature has supported the move to 100% recycled and infinitely recyclable aluminium and nature-positive ingredient sourcing. Imagine how different shelves might look if Nature had a say in all product development."

Founded in 1974, Faith In Nature has always championed natural, vegan, and cruelty-free products, helping consumers make better choices for themselves and the planet since launching 50 years ago.

The Manchester-based company was a pioneer in introducing plastic-saving refills and cost-effective bulk options in the 1980s and led the switch to 100% recycled bottles in the 1990s.

More recently, the brand achieved B Corp certification with a mission to "continually reimagine what it means to be a green company in today's world", using funds from a crowdfunding campaign last year to move to a new site for greener manufacturing, creating products for a circular economy, and reducing its carbon footprint.

Rivka Rose, Founder of Faith In Nature, said: "2024 marks our next evolution: transitioning to infinitely recyclable metal, reducing water and carbon usage in manufacturing, and enhancing the efficacy of our products with more active natural ingredients.

"Turning 50 is not about looking back but looking forward. It’s about planting the seeds that will grow our faith for the next 50 years."
