Lush is opening its first hair salon in Brighton later this year, with a mission to "revolutionise the hair industry".

Located at Trafalgar Street, the Lush Hair Lab will offer a holistic approach to hairdressing and barbering, using natural hair colouring and reducing salon waste.

The salon's services will include hair cuts, styling, henna hair dye and head spa - all priced between £55 and £80.

As part of this, a team of texture-specialist hair artists will work with clients to achieve their personal aesthetic.

To fit with Lush’s "all are welcome, always" philosophy, the HairLab will also offer no-mirror and silent treatments, quiet hours with reduced music and lighting, and gender-affirming events, such as trans masculine shaving workshops.

Whilst various details of the salon's design are still under wraps, the space will feature a botanical wash room. This will see hair and scalp treated with a choice of hard or soft water, using the brand's haircare products and herbal infusions.

Daisy Evans, Hair Lead at Lush, said: "We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to the Lush Hair Lab to witness the future of hair services – where self-expression and excellence combine to redefine your hair journey."

The news follows the launch of the Lush's Shampoo Bar concept in Liverpool earlier this year. As part of the service, customers can have their hair washed by a Lush Shampoo Therapist using one of the brand's shampoo bars.

Customers can then either self-style their own hair or have Lush’s Hair Stylists finish off their desired look, using its extended and exclusive range of hair styling products.
