The opening date of Sephora's highly-anticipated store at Manchester's Trafford Centre has been revealed as 16 May 2024.

The new store will mark the global beauty giant's first location in the North of England and hopes to provide an "immersive and unparalleled shopping experience" for consumers.

Similar to its existing UK stores, the space will boast an extensive selection of products across makeup, skincare, haircare, fragrance and wellness, including a "stellar" line-up of exclusive brands.

This includes Glossier, Makeup by Mario, GXVE by Gwen Stefani, Haus Labs and Sephora Collection, amongst others.

The new location was selected following an influx of requests and enthusiasm across the retailer's social media platforms, with Manchester emerging as the top city requested by its followers.

It comes as Sephora plans to open additional stores across the UK, following its first two openings in London last year.

Earlier this week, the retailer revealed it is also opening not one but two new stores in the North East, having announced the Metrocentre in Gateshead as its second location in the region.

The Metrocentre space will open alongside another store at Newcastle's Eldon Square in autumn 2024, which was previously announced last month.

Sephora originally left the UK market in 2005, having opened a handful of stores. In 2021, as a prelude to its return, the retailer acquired Feelunique in a £132 million deal.

It then took over Feelunique's former website and launched in the UK online in October 2022, later opening stores at Westfield London in March 2023 and Westfield Stratford City in November 2023.
