UK lash technicians urged to prepare for pent up demand

Beauty company Flawless Lashes is urging lash technicians to brush up on the latest  trends expected to fuel demand once salons re-open for business on 12 April, or risk losing out on key sales.

With searches for lash serum having surged by 150% during the most recent lockdown, the consumer appetite for thicker stronger lashes had clearly not waned, Flawless Lashes founder Loreta Jasilionyte said.

The company, which also operates an online training academy, has launched a new guide to help technicians prepare for re-opening, including the key products to stock up on, in line with new trends.

Salon owners who were up to speed with the most popular eyelash trends and had the right products in stock, would be best placed to “outsmart” the competition and meet pent-up demand for luxury eyelash treatment options, Jasilionyte added.

According to the guide, Lash Lifts – a quicker and cheaper alternative to traditional lash extensions are likely to be the number one trend for spring 2021.

‘Kim K Syling’, where longer lashes are added in between the main lash set to create a “messy effect” looks set to be the second biggest trend.

In third place but growing rapidly are M Curl Lashes. Featuring a unique and versatile curl, Flawless Lashes says the innovative new style suits all eye shapes.

Pre-Made Fan Lashes, which Flawless Lashes believes could be the “saviour of lash artists everywhere,” are in fourth place.

“When salons reopen, there could be a huge influx of calls from clients wanting appointments.

“However, there are only so many hours in the day and you don’t want to turn clients down and lose them to competitors.

“Pre made fan lashes are faster to apply, allowing more appointments in one day,” Jasilionyte said.
