Holland & Barrett has opened a new flagship store at London's Battersea Power Station, boasting the retailer's latest technology and an updated store design to entice customers.

The new 1249 sq ft store features thousands of health, wellness and beauty products, as well as upgraded tablets with new assisted shopping capabilities and digital shelf labels.

It has also been fitted using 100% recyclable materials, and the lighting has been designed to be more efficient, reduce energy consumption and cut carbon emissions, aligning with Holland & Barrett's climate commitment to roll out LED lighting across its stores, distribution centre and manufacturing site.

Andrew Jones, Head of Format at Holland & Barrett, said: "We are delighted to have launched such a fantastic store in an iconic London landmark. Our store evokes a sense of wellness which is key to our brand success which we create through materiality, layout, our wide range of products and colleague expertise.

"We installed a bold, first for brand, transparent screen at the front of our store that is bespoke to Battersea Power Station with unique content to showcase to customers. Our Battersea flagship is a true brand expression for what we look and stand for."

The opening follows Holland & Barrett's strengthened commitment to women’s health, having launched a new wellness campaign earlier this year to raise awareness around issues such as menopause and endometriosis.

As part of this, the high street retailer trained over 600 employees to become women’s health coaches, who will offer personalised support on the menstrual cycle, menopause and hormonal health.
